ROSS WARBURTON, Warburtons

Ross joined the Warburton family business in 1985 and in 1991 became Executive Chairman where he oversaw the rapid expansion of the company. In 2001 he became Executive Director and has recently taken on the role of Chairman at the Institute for Family Business which means he is perfectly placed to share his story with other family businesses.

JUNE KENTON, Rigby & Peller

June and her husband Harold have been in the corsetry business for over 40 years and are a grantee of the Royal Warrants. Their son David now supervises the day to day running of the business and June will be sharing their journey as a family.

 

PAUL KELLY, Kelly Turkeys

The supplier of choice to many celebrity chefs including Jamie Oliver, Kelly Turkeys was founded by Paul's father in 1971. As current Managing Director, Paul is now responsible for building on the brand they have created and to plan strategically for the future growth of the business.

JOHN BLY,  Antiques Expert

The Bly family have been antique dealers since 1891 and John has been resident furniture expert of the Antiques Roadshow since 1878 as well as being part of his family business.

DR NERI KARRA, Neri Karra

Neri's childhood was cut short when her family, along with thousands of other Turkish Bulgarians, were forced to leave Bulgaria in 1989. But her dream was never forgotten and despite arriving in Instanbul with just two suitcases, Neri and her family succeeded in setting up a small high quality leather goods business - now with 100 stores in 10 countries. Neri also holds a PHD in Family Business and Entrepreneurship from the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge and is Founding Dean and Director of London School of Fashion & Design.

SANJAY ARORA, Arora Hotels

The son of one of the UK’s most successful asian businessmen, Sanjay Arora has high expectations. Currently studying at university, Sanjay will be sharing his aspirations for the future and how he deals with having being part of such an extremely successful family business.

Star of TV's Create & Craft channel, Barbara has over 20 years experience running her family business and is now a TV personality with a huge following.

 

JUDY BELL, Shepherd's Purse Cheese

Shepherds Purse started out as an idea by Judy Bell in the 1980s working on her kitchen table. The company was launched at the Great Yorkshire Show in 1989 and won 1st prize that year at the Nantwich International Cheese Awards. Since then the word about their fine Yorkshire cheeses has spread, they have a shelf full of awards from top national and international shows and the whole family is involved with the business.

With her great, great grandfather founding Marks & Spencers, Elizabeth Sieff is proud to admit that her family business heritage has had a huge impact on her own commerical ventures.

Helen's fourth generation family business supply award-winning cider to bars and pubs around the UK as well as exporting to over 40 countries around the world. Westons have recently celebrated 150 years in business and Helen is proud to take the company forward along with her family and employees.
