We believe that family businesses form the cornerstone of local industry so, as you might expect, a large proportion of our client base is made up of family enterprises.
Our specialist services and proactive involvement focuses on helping them to grow and develop, building on the success of the founder while structuring innovative ways to hand that success on to future generations.
The process is not always an easy one and there is certainly no blueprint or "ten point plan" for success, however with statistics showing that only 4% of businesses in the economy are inherited, our focus is to work with our family business clients to ensure that they are successful in their succession plans.
In 2007 we set up the first UK business club aimed specifically at family businesses. Our vision was to develop a forum for family businesses where they could share their issues, experiences and successes.
Family business club meetings have focused on areas which are high on the agenda of the members and, where appropriate, we have invited outside speakers to draw upon their experiences. The meetings also provide an excellent opportunity for members to network.
As the Club has grown we have been able to enhance the benefits that membership brings to include preferential rates for the periodic GENERATION Magazine.
It is testament to the success of our family business club tha this concept has been replicated in other parts of the UK.
