The family business field in the UK is becoming increasingly recognised with more time and activities being devoted to the sector than ever before. The team at the Family Business Place wanted to celebrate the contribution that certain individuals have made in the field and as such have introduced the Outstanding Contribution Award as part of the 2010 Family Business Award programme.

Each of the individual nominees has made a difference to the family business field, be it through research programmes, consultancy services, publishing articles and books or creating family business support organisations and we are delighted to bring these individuals together to recognise their achievements.
