John has over 30 years experience in consulting and financial advisory services to large privately held businesses and professional service clients in Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Caribbean and Australia.

John Holdstock is based in Toronto. His responsibilities include developing and executing strategies for profitable growth of the firm, with a specific focus on advisory services, industry sectors and linkage with Grant Thornton International.

John has over 30 years experience in consulting and financial advisory services to clients in Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Caribbean and Australia, with a particular emphasis on financial institutions, regulated bodies, public sector agencies, large privately held businesses and professional service firms.

John has a wide variety of consulting and financial advisory experience, including strategy development and measurement, operations’ improvement and public-private partnerships.

Much of John’s work has focused on financial management, as well as risk management practices. He has also conducted numerous re-engineering and organization development assignments in large organizations, with a significant change management component. He has facilitated the development of strategic plans for different public and private sector organizations, including identification of mission and mandate, core values, critical success factors, key performance indicators and action to achieve strategic objectives.

He has also performed operations and financial reviews for various organizations. John led the development of our firm’s strategic plan and resulting business planning and reporting framework—including KPI development.
