After a six year partnership, sisters Sienna and Savannah Miller have stepped down as co-creative directors of their fashion label.
The pair are ending their involvement with Twenty8Twelve in order to pursue other ventures. It has been announced that he label will continue under the current design team.
The Millers told WWD: 'We've had a brilliant six years at Twenty8Twelve and are now looking forward to new pastures. We wish the brand the best of luck for the future.'
It is likely that Sienna, 30, who announced her pregnancy earlier this month, will be focusing on motherhood. The label will be renamed Twenty8Twelve London instead of 'Twenty8Twelve by s. miller'. Managing director Nish Soneji said: 'We've had a great partnership with the Miller sisters.'
'From the beginning, our mission was to create a contemporary label with its own identity and strong directional design, as well as an emphasis on quality, cut and finishing. That vision, along with the uniquely British style the collection has become known for, will continue under the direction of the Twenty8Twelve design team.'
Twenty8Twelve, named after Sienna's birth date of 28 December, launched in September 2007. Thanks to Sienna's celebrity and fashion icon status as a selling point and Savannah's experience as a fashion designer, the label quickly became popular with fashionistas.
Savannah has a first class degree in fashion design with knitwear from Central Saint Martins and has worked for Alexander McQueen, Anya Hindmarch, Betty Jackson and Matthew Williamson.
The sisters debuted at London Fashion Week in 2009. At the time, Sienna said of the move: 'This is absolutely the right time for us to grow. The way the economy is right now, if we had stayed as small as we were, we might have struggled to survive. We needed to push the label forward.'
There are currently three Twenty8Twelve stores in London with plans to expand to the U.S. There are also plans to launch an e-commerce website. The label will being showing at London Fashion Week.
